We got the chance to do a feature with the lovely Kristina Dietrich who inspires women to move with an extra focus on your individual capability and goals.

1. WHO IS KRISTINA DIETRICH?
My name is Kristina, I ‘am a Movement Pedagogue for the complete Pilates method. That means mat classes as well as training on the Original Pilates apparatus such as Reformers, Allegros, Cadillac, Spine Correctors and the Springboards. I also teach Fascial Pilates, Fascial movements in Barre, Pilates and Barre Workout at my Studio “Die Pilatisten” in Leipzig. In my “old life” I studied environmental science, landscape planning, architecture and geography which still affects my life a great deal as I want to live and grow a healthy and environmentally conscious life style.
2. WHAT IS YOUR LIFE MOTTO?
You don’t have to do or to pursue everything. But you can give it a try and be open to it.
3. WHAT ARE YOU EXTRA CURIOUS ABOUT RIGHT NOW?
Right now I’m diving deep into my studies of osteopathy and non medical practitioning and I love when everything comes together – Pilates, Body science, movement, healing.
4. WHAT IS A BEAUTIFUL BODY TO YOU?
A beautiful body doesn’t depend on being super slim or develop huge muscles. It’s not depending on age or nationality. It is when someone’s heart and body are one and a person is really feeling at home in their body. You can see that glowing and that positive vibrations.
5. WHAT IS PILATES TO YOU?
To me Pilates is my passion, my sports, my go-to-place when I feel odd and I love about it that it’s a lifelong journey. I’m fascinated how Pilates movements affect people in a very certain way and how it affects my lifestyle and makes me more conscious every day.
6. WHAT IS THE PERFECT PILATES OUTFIT?
First of all: it’s an outfit that makes you feel comfy and “at home” in your studio, on your mat. Furthermore it shouldn’t hurt you or make you feel uncomfortable. You should feel nice and maybe don’t even notice it. Of course you shouldn’t be held back by your outfit. I mean
it doesn’t hurt if you look fabulous in it.
7. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE PILATES MOVES?
That’s really hard to decide. I love the Short Spine massage on the Reformer, as well as the great feeling of my ribcage when having done Snake and twist on Reformer and I like airplane on Cadillac a lot. But when I think about it: there is tons of great pilates moves!
8. IN YOUR OPINION, WHY IS PILATES SUCH A GOOD WORKOUT?
Pilates works the whole body in a way that no other gymnastics can do. While working your core precisely and developing every movement from the inside to the outside, you breathe deeply and have to be fully focused. Pilates workout is effective, mind blowing, it satisfies and relaxes stressed people as well as giving power to weekly or recovering people. Pilates is for everybody!
9. WHAT CAN ONE EXPECT WHEN JOINING YOUR STUDIO?
You can expect that we treat you and teach you as an individual. We love to have you in our studio no matter what brings you to the studio. Clients (we call them Pilatisten) love our familiar
atmosphere, good vibes and relaxed courses. That doesn’t mean that we won’t do everything to secretly get your asses kicked by Pilates. What is really important to me: if you have health issues we will find
a way. Either in our small group classes or with more specialized treatment in our Personal Pilates units. My main goal is to help you to feel well through Pilates and to improve your health.
9. WHAT IS POWER TO YOU?
Power is coming from the inside. It helps me to have a flexible, strong body and mind, to get through my day; to empower other people and create a common sense of a healthy lifestyle. Power isn’t meant to step up against others or to feel superior to others. From my point of view it’s not something that’s made of owning or buying things.
